REFER TO GENERAL RULES

1. In selecting apples for exhibition, choose such specimens that would bring the highest market price. Do not select the largest. Select a medium size. In plate displays have five specimens as nearly alike as possible.

2. The following score is to be used as a basis for judging of all plate exhibits:

3. Each exhibitor must designate the particular premium for which he is competing in special classes, and see that the packages are properly tagged. Single specimens may not be considered or shown in variety classes.

4. Premiums will be awarded only when the exhibit complies with the standard, is meritorious, and properly named. (Committee not responsible for entries left after 10 p.m.)

NUTS

All nuts must have been grown in fair ’s surrounding

community within past year. They must be displayed in the shell.

1. American black or English walnuts, any variety, but exhibit must consist of 12 specimens of same variety.

2. Butternuts, any variety, but exhibit must consist of 12 specimens of same variety.

3. Hazelnuts, any variety, but exhibit must consist of 12 specimens of same variety.

4. Heartnuts, any variety, but exhibit must consist of 12 specimens of any one variety.

5. Hicans, any variety, but exhibit must consist of 12

specimens of any one variety.

6. Peanuts, any variety, but exhibit must consist of 12

specimens of same variety.

7. Pecans, any variety, but exhibit must consist of 12

specimens of any one variety.

8. Native American or Chinese chestnuts, any variety, but exhibit must consist of 5 specimens of same variety

9. Shell Bark, shag bark or hickories, any variety, but exhibit must consist of 12 specimens of same variety.

10. Any other species of nuts not listed, 12 specimens to constitute an exhibit. Must be of same variety.
